Greetings from your church board!
Some items for your attention:
- For anyone interested, binders containing record of the monthly Board minutes are available for you to review in the resource room, just across from the Hospitality Room.
-2012 ended on a positive financial note – NO DEFICIT! A BALANCED BUDGET! And so, we humbly give thanks to our faithful God, and say thank you to all of you for responding generously to His promptings to give. We’re currently negotiating a date to hold a celebration, so keep your eyes and ears open!
- By now you’ll have noticed the “wee drum hoose” and head phones worn by some of the band. Our sound team has been experimenting and auditioning some new equipment as we look toward replacing our aging system. There’s a lot of ground work already been done, however, the time-line has been moved ahead a bit as the old sound board gave up the ghost recently. Sound issues and other capital needs are on the Board radar and we’ll be keeping you updated in the weeks to come. In the mean time, a HUGE THANKS to the sound crew who have spent MANY hours ensuring we can enjoy worship each Sunday morning!
-Finally, one of the places you’ll hear more about what’s on the board radar and have a chance to reflect on the year past at St. Andrew’s is at our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on Sunday, Feb. 24. The AGR will be available in advance of that meeting for your review, and I invite you all to attend. There will be only one service @10am followed by lunch served by the youth.
