Baptism

You do not have to be of United Faith or attend St. Andrew's UnitedChurch in order to have your child baptized! Here at St. Andrew's we are happy to welcome anyone to God's family through the sacrament of Baptism.

We do not have a set schedule for baptisms, usually we include baptisms as part of our regular worship services every two months or so, depending on requests. The sacrament can take place at either the 9:15 or 11:00 am service. In order to baptize your child (or yourself) we need certain information:

Child's full name
Date of birth
Place of birth
Father's full name
Mother's full name, and maiden name

We do not charge people for baptiims. Please e-mail us if you have any questions: info@sainta.ca

Confirmation

Confirmation is a faith class for youth. It is their opportunity to "confirm" the decision that their parents made for them years before at their infant baptism. We spend several weeks exploring the Christian faith together on Sunday mornings. In the spring, we hold a confirmation service where the youth publicly confirm their faith in Christ before the congregation.

We run our classes every other year. The minimum age is grade 7. For more information, please email info@sainta.ca

Weddings

You do not have to be of United Faith to be married at St. Andrew's, nor do you have to attend this church on a regular basis.

Weddings are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis, so you are advised to book well in advance. There are various fees depending on whether you want to marry in the Sanctuary or the Chapel, whether you require the organist or not and if you require the services of our wedding coordinator. Our minister and organist can also be booked for offsite weddings.

Your best option is to call or e-mail the office to start personally planning your wedding with us.  info@sainta.ca

Communion Services

At St. Andrew's we practice what is called, 'open communion.' If you believe in Jesus Christ you are welcome to partake in communion services. At our 9:15 Contemporary Service, we celebrate communion by "intinction" where the congregants come forward to receive the bread, which is then dipped in the wine.

At our 11 a.m. Traditional Service, the elements of communion are distributed to the members of the congregation. We celebrate the sacrament of communion several times a year. To find out when the next communion service will be, please click here info@sainta.ca
