Music and Drama

St. Andrew's Choir

Members of St Andrew’s Choir raise their voices in song to lead at special services throughout the year.  Accompanied by organ or piano, you can also expect to hear the addition of other classical musical instruments from time to time. Anything from a harp, flute or oboe right on up to a full section of the Niagara Symphony or the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sinfonia.

Our Director of Music, Lynne Honsberger, a talented and highly respected musician is well connected to the local musical community, and guest musicians welcome the opportunity to work with the maestro. Members of St. Andrew’s choir are known to thoroughly enjoy the social aspects of belonging to the choir, while learning to stretch their musical talents.

St. Andrew's Worship Band

As you turn off your car radio and head across the church parking lot, coffee in hand, chances are that the strains of music you hear floating across the air are similar to ones you just heard on the radio air waves.  St. Andrew's  worship band is comprised of accoustic, electric and bass guitars, keyboards, drums and percussion. Following the leadership of Nancy Robinson, our vocalists harmonize to the strains of familiar praise songs to welcome you into God’s presence.  Sometimes reflective, sometimes high-octane, but always worshipful. Our prayer is that it’s music through which you sense God reaching out to you with a word of hope, love, encouragement or refreshment.  We also hope you’ll find it helps you reach out to God in worship.

St. Andrew's Drama Team

The drama team at St. Andrew's strives to bring God's Word to light through the vehicle of drama. With the use of short sketches or dramatic monologues the drama team illustrates Biblical principles or asks important questions - helping to underscore the message contained in the sermon. You'll see skits that will make you laugh out loud; others that might bring a tear to your eye ... and always, they are thought provoking as well as entertaining.

Would you consider being a part of this fun and rewarding ministry? We're in need of people of all ages- youth, twentysomethings, baby boomers, seniors- no experience necessary. There are no regular meetings to attend- just rehearsals as the need arises.  If you would prefer to share your talents "behind the scenes" with things such as sets, props, sound, etc. we would love to welcome you in this capacity as well.

If you are interested in giving the drama team a try,  email our drama team leader, Karen Fulham or call 905-357-0760.
